Sponsored Programs & Compliance Update
We are excited to share that beginning January 2, 2026, the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Office of Integrity and Compliance will be shared among the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø System.
We will provide more updates here as they become available. In the meantime, continue to work with Abby Gade in Research and Sponsored Programs.
Effective January 20, 2026, the Institutional Review Boards of ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø and Colorado State University Fort Collins have combined under a single Federalwide Assurance (FWA) registration with the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP). This change is in response to a system policy change for research compliance published on January 01, 2026. .
All new submissions to the IRB office will be reviewed by either a designated reviewer within the office or a combined committee including representatives from both Fort Collins and Pueblo campuses.

The Biosafety Committee ensures all activities involving biohazardous materials are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and applicable University policies.
The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committees review research protocols and conduct evaluations of the institution's animal care and use. This includes inspections of facilities required by law.
