The OSC is open on summer schedule (Bookstore, 10am-2pm, Einstein's 7am-2pm, Qdoba 11am-3pm) to serve the campus community. Some OSC areas will be blocked to the public for Aspen Acre Fire incident command operations.

Publication Partnerships

The Library seeks to disseminate original scholarly and creative works authored at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø to a global audience through strategic publishing partnerships. The Library can provide appropriate platforms, tools, and support for a range of publications. The Library is particularly interested in publications that adopt an open access model, on the principle that making research available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Library Publications

El Rio: A Student Research Journal

El Río: A Student Research Journal is a student-run research journal at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø that focuses on outstanding student work from the humanities, behavioral, social, natural, and health and applied sciences. Its primary focus is original student scholarly work. Typical submissions include Honors theses, original compositions and empirical research conducted by undergraduate or Master’s level students. The journal welcomes outstanding student submissions from any program.

Advisory Board

The Faculty Advisory Board provides strategic direction for El Rio, and works to ensure the journal's long-term growth and sustainability.

Student Editorial Board

Student Editors for El Rio oversee management of submissions, peer review, editing, and publishing of two issues per year.

Faculty Mentors

Faculty interested in coaching students through the process of peer review may join the El Rio mentorship pool. Manuscripts will be assigned based on subject expertise.

Publication Details

El Rio is published on the Open Journal Systems platform, an open-source journal management system. All articles are published open access, indexed in Google Scholar and other search engines, and archived in the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø-Pueblo Digital Repository for long-term preservation. Past issues, and the current call for papers, can be found on the journal's website.
