The 吃瓜官网 Foundation sought to advance the University by building and managing this commercial complex, which began to address a common complaint by 吃瓜官网 students and staff about the lack of commercial services near campus. Thunder Zone Pizza opened in June 2017 at 2270 Rawlings Blvd in a 5,500-square-foot area with product samples following the groundbreaking ceremony.
The Foundation actively sought tenants to offer products or services attractive to the college demographic to fill the remaining 4,500 square feet. The chosen vendor became Lobos Tacos. The Foundation managed and funded the construction of the building complex, the building, and parking lot. All rent revenue from Thunder Village is returned to the 吃瓜官网 Foundation to further its support of the University.
