PUEBLO, Colo. – ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is now accepting applications for the Threlkeld Prize for Excellence, one of the University’s most prestigious student awards.

Established in 1990, the Threlkeld Prize for Excellence honors the legacy of Budge Threlkeld, a longtime ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø faculty member and a deeply respected figure in the Pueblo community. The award is presented annually to a student who demonstrates exceptional academic achievement and a strong commitment to service both on campus and in the broader community.

Eligible applicants must have graduated in Fall 2025 or plan to graduate in Spring or Summer 2026. Students must have completed at least four full-time semesters at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø and maintained a minimum 3.7 grade point average for three consecutive full-time semesters.

Applicants must also demonstrate meaningful service to ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø and the community.

Students interested in applying can access the application through PAWS by selecting Scholarships and then the Threlkeld Prize for Excellence Scholarship.

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2026.
